Long Overdue

I've wanted to start this blog since January but annoying things like school and work keep getting in the way (okay, guilty tumbler has too). The plan is to write about writing (and I guarantee I'll get sidetracked by things like music and NASCAR). Anyone who reads and writes knows the topic "writing" entails endless possibilities.
First, I want to give credit where credit is due. I did not come up with that title. It's from a quote from a movie I'm sure I refer to endlessly: The Lord of the Rings. 
"It's like the great stories, Mr. Frodo; the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end... because how could the end be happy? The stories that stayed with you. Those are the stories I intend to write and to write about. Those few words explain why I read and write. I want to write stories that stay with people and when I find one myself, it's magic.
